MORGAN PROGRAM
Flower Farm's Morgan Sporthorses are a relatively new endeavor for
us, but our breeding philosophy is not. We bred European warmbloods for several years
prior to starting our Morgan program, learning the importance of studying and using proven
bloodlines as well as adhering to high standards of conformation, temperament and
movement. The program was established in 2001 with the purchase of our lovely brunk
stallion Caduceus Denver who
was bred by the late Dr. Lowell Hughes. Dr. Hughes spent over two decades breeding black
Morgans of primarily Brunk lines that were known for their movement, size and beauty. His
lines are popular in Morgan sporthorse programs as they are particularly suited for sport
disciplines. We have continued his legacy by purchasing a number of Caduceus bred mares
for our program. |
